In order to meet the needs of clients for sustainable development, the new generation "self-cleaning" RAP dryer drum, first-of-its-kind patented technology, is developed by D&G Machinery. The design has been optimized, taking into account the characteristics and heating characteristics of recycled materials. The rake-type lifting plate ensures the material lifting effect and the drying and heating efficiency, while cutting energy consumption and basically solves the adhesion problem of the RAP dryer drum. The featured "self-cleaning" patented technology greatly alleviates the drum adhesion problem and ensures the system's drying efficiency.

02. Background of Retrofitting
During long-term use of the traditional asphalt mixing plant RAP dryer drum, problems such as drum bonding, uneven material curtain, low material temperature, and high exhaust gas temperature arose.
03. Retrofitting Plan
All the above customers are using D&G Machinery's DGXR4500 asphalt mixing plant. In order to help customers settle the many problems during the drum operation, we have retrofitted and configured the "self-cleaning" RAP dryer drum for them.
04. After Retrofitting
Less fuel consumption costs: Based on the analysis of the production conditions at the same construction site, assume the annual usage of recycled materials is 100,000 tons (moisture content: 5%, ambient temperature: 20°C, material temperature: 160°C). If the exhaust gas temperature drops from 195°C to 165°C, the fuel consumption would be reduced by approx.5%, and the thermal efficiency of the drum would be largely improved. In this condition, about CNY 97,500 would be saved per year in fuel consumption costs.
Less manual cleaning costs: Assume the user needs to clean the RAP drum for 5 times per year, and each time 3 people are required for the 5-day cleaning. If the cleaning fee per person per day is about CNY 500, approx. CNY37,500 would be saved annually.
By rough calculation, the savings in fuel and manual cleaning costs are about CNY135,000 per year, which is considerable. If the production volume of the equipment during the time saved by cleaning is also included, namely 320t/h × 8h × 5 days × 5 times = 64,000 tons of finished product, the profit brought by the asphalt mixture is even more considerable.
